WWTBAM Bored

I had to move a small pallet of HBA (That's Health & Beauty Aids for those not in retail) out of the way at work a couple hours ago so I could get to the bleach I needed to fill the shelf. I noticed that all of the stuff on the pallet was new mechandise, and as I walked away from it the Caress logo on one of the cases caught my eye. I almost just let it be, but I was just dying to see of we had finally gotten in christie's new body wash. Sure enough, when I looked at the case, there is was written boldly underneath the scripted Caress "Evenly Gorgeous". It was a case of the exfoliating bars. Right next to it was the same thing in a body wash. Of course, I smiled and thought of christie, but before I went back to doing my job, I just had to do something else......

I took out my marker and wrote "11:11" on both cases!

I think I will mark some ones and put them on the 'Where's George' website today at lunch.

You're just a sentimental old fool, aren't you?

I didn't know that it was exfoliating, now the name makes more sense (although I still like my connotation better and think Christie should pitch that as the ad motif). I think I was babbling on about the olive oil exfoliating wash I like at the time, so maybe it was assumed I knew what was going on (never assume that, ha!).

I'm going to be in the HBA section of my local Mecca today so I'll make sure and look for this as well. Unless you've managed to do something with your homage marking and they've put a call out across the land that Mecca isn't supposed to put it on the shelves until Veteran's Day.

Cool. I think I will have to pick some up the next time I go to the Wal of Mart to buy diapers and wipes. Buying it from Target just would not be the same.

What would really be nice is a bottle with a 11:11 written on the side.

It's not on the shelves now.... at least not here. It's still in the backroom....

It'll go out to the shelf whenever the new modulars drop (Probably within a week or two), or whenever the department manager has the room (and the motivation) to work it out before the shelves change.....

All of the bottles have a UPC code that starts with 1111.

Unilever products all start with 11111. An extra 1 doesn't hurt!
