Last Night's 24

Have people been watching this season? I'm getting pretty pumped up about what's going on.
Spoiler
Why do I get the feeling that they really have killed off Agent Walker? If so, that's one of the most surprising things they've done, even more than killing off poor Edgar.

Not that they killed her off. Anyone but Jack is expendable on the show. But that they would do it so soon and in such a fashion

And it sure looks like the demonstration that the Colonel is going to pull off next week will involve nuking Washngton DC in some fashion.

And finally, I sure hope they bring Jon Voight back soon. The show needs its master villain front and center.

I've been watching it.
My responses.
She's clearly not dead yet. She's blinking furiously under the plastic.

Spoiler
I would have thought she was still alive too but they gave her the silent clock treatment at the end of the show.

For those unaware, normally you hear a ticking clock at the end of each show as the last few seconds of the hour tick off. But when a major sympathetic character dies, the clock is silent in "memoriam" for that character. The reason many people felt Tony was still alive was because he didn't receive a silent clock when he "died."

I'm getting pumped up about Bill Buchanan. He needs a larger role.

I had never noticed that before. I did notice that there was no ticking at the end of yesterday's show, but I thought my
DVR malfunctioned! I cannot believe that they would allow a character to die like that. If we think she is dead come next week, I'll bet that she somehow comes back before the season is over. This is 24. Characters come back from the dead all the time!

BTW, I am enjoying this year MUCH more than last year (so far). By the end of last season's run, I was very close to swearing off the entire show (ala Lost, which I understand was a mistake given that I have heard it has improved quite a bit since Season 2).

Spoiler
Jack just gave her a flesh wound on the neck. Tony and Jack waited until the end to put dirt on her face. If Jack meant to kill her, she'd be dead. She's not dead. She's just stunned. (Nice Plumage). But what about Naomi?

What I heard at the end was her still breathing, at least for the moment. That may be why the clock tick was off. And perhaps they are trying to mess up the hard core fans by not having it tick and yet still have her survive.
