Final Speaker Gave The Best Speech

#1 Post by ghostjmf » Tue Jan 20, 2009 11:56 am

In my humble opinion of course.

I believe this was the Reverend Joseph Lowery, but Googling for the names is harder than it ought to be.

My poor kids came home from school confused. They did not know if they were supposed to stick around or be mellow.

I am pretty sure that I already embrace what is right, but there are days where they disagree. :)

That's part of the job descriptions for "parent" and "child".

GW and I did not think these song lyrics were appropriate and did not appreciate the sentiment. Why do only the whites need to do what's right?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

It was telling that Rev. Lowery would speak such words on the day celebrating the fact that white Americans did what Lowery would say "was right" and voted for an African-American candidate, while African-Americans nearly unanimously refused to support a white candidate.

Meanwhile, I now have to worry that my kids might be called "yellow" by a classmate, as the entire school watched the inauguration ceremonies.

You are kidding, right? That was the most racist speech I've have ever heard.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I agree. That Jesse Jackson rhyming nonsense was totally unnecessary.
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!
