I found and was going to post an online article I found titled "Obama Will be one of Our Greatest Presidents." Then I read the article and couldn't do it -- it demonstrated many of SSS's previously made points about how Obama campaigned so effectively and won the election.silverscreenselect wrote:And mine is just starting.Bob Juch wrote:I don't need Alka-Seltzer! That has got to be the kindest and sweetest thing I have ever heard said about SSS.SportsFan68 wrote:I still think that in four years, SSS will say that Obama did well and that he's glad Obama was elected. Or, if he thinks the four years went well, SSS may give all the credit to the Cabinet and other staff. That will be OK too, because if that happens, it will mean that Obama gets the credit for assmbling that staff.silverscreenselect wrote:And mine is just starting.Bob Juch wrote: I don't need Alka-Seltzer! I've spent over a year working on a marketing text, and I can appreciate the brilliant job that Obama did to win the nomination and the election. It will be studied by political consultants for decades to come.SportsFan68 wrote:I found and was going to post an online article I found titled "Obama Will be one of Our Greatest Presidents." I look forward to your 2012 report.silverscreenselect wrote: However, marketing has its limits. It can get people to try a product, but it can't make a product any better or worse. Starting tomorrow, we will get to judge the product rather than the marketing campaign that led us to try the product.
We just got an e-mail saying that we'll have lunchtime TV coverage of the inauguration in our conference room. I didn't expect the company to do that!SportsFan68 wrote:Everybody have a great Inauguration Day!

We have big flat screens around the building. The cafeteria is going to be crowded today.MarleysGh0st wrote:We just got an e-mail saying that we'll have lunchtime TV coverage of the inauguration in our conference room. I take that statement back, partially. When marketing is a key part of the product development process, it can make products "better" by convincing the company to include the features in the product that people want rather than those the engineers think are good things to have. In this sense, marketing can make a product better or worse.SportsFan68 wrote:I look forward to your 2012 report.silverscreenselect wrote: However, marketing has its limits. Although, I think we will see SSS's reports much sooner than 2012 on how he thinks the Presidency is going.
And oh, what a relief it is. Congratulations, President Obama. --Bobpeacock2121 wrote:LOL - I think that is what Bob### meant. Today is the Alka-Seltzer.Bob Juch wrote:I don't need Alka-Seltzer!
