Anyone else going to the Inauguration??

A friend of mine REALLY wanted to go (her niece is marching in the parade, in addition to the usual reasons why one wants to go) and I'm tagging along. Hey, I like to be part of history!
No agenda and no tickets, but that's never stopped me before ...
If anyone else is going, please let me know!
I'll be wearing a red Lands End coat and a purple fleece hat with flowers on it.

One of Jeff's friends is going to DC. He is part of the Disaster Medicine team.

Hopefully, I won't HAVE to meet him ...

Beloved Son, who attends GWU, intends to be somewhere on the Mall during the swearing-in.
He arrived late for the concert yesterday, and got as close as the WWII memorial.
Look for him on TV. He's the tall, skinny one who's not being sworn in.

I'll go up and introduce myself. Tell him that I'm the short one not on stage with the rest of the Obama family.

While I think it would be nice to be able to say 'I was there', I personally think anyone who goes is absolutely nuts. Too many people, too few facilities, cold, etc.
Good luck to all going.

Yesteday, some talking head said that this will be the largest gathering of porta pottys in history.
As for Beloved Son, I'm hoping he ordered his Stadium Pal:

Well, I was in lower Manhattan on 9/11 so I'd like to be part of history again for a more POSITIVE reason!
And since I will be well prepared, I will be ready when Demi or Ashton or Oprah or Leo needs Kleenex or a breath mint or a cough drop.

That's what I would be doing.
It is odd to just pee in one's pants though.
I have done that while running and it is very odd.
