... you could try this parade:
The city’s annual Martin Luther King Day March will begin at Jefferson Street Baptist Church at 11:30 p.m., ending at the TSU Gentry Center for the Convocation at 12 noon. (source)

Not many agencies around here celebrate MLK Day. The banks for sure do.

No parade.

Yes, but we can't wait for Pulaski Day!

Both went onto the calendar the same year.... 1986. I was in 5th grade....

I wish January 20 had fallen on a Friday.

Oh well. We're partying on anyway.

At the state office where I'm contracting they take both MLK and Lincoln's birthdays off as well as Presidents Day.

I am seriously thinking of wearing a ball gown on Tuesday night.

I am not kidding - champagne and all!

You own a ballgown? Do you have a tiara?

I want a ball gown.

I have neither, but I'm gonna look around tomorrow for something suitable for Tuesday night.

I found this gorgeous dress, but it's an antique from around 1937 and probably very fragile.

I have what I call a ball gown - it goes down to the floor and it is crinoliney. My tiara, thanks to Ms Uday is green. The gown is a mauve color, so, they are not so great together. Maybe I'll do it just because I can.
