Clearly, the judge believed Annie and not that evil Evil Squirrel.
Good job, ES.

Uh oh, ES!
You'd think that a judge who is so fond of gerbils would find
some leniency for squirrels!

That's so cool!
Should I print it out and stick it on his table at the CRF awards banquet?

Why not?
And Maddie may consider this her first professional victory....

That's Maddie as Annie's attorney?
I'd have thought she wouldn't gloat over her victory so openly.

You must not have seen the pics of Maddie in the car.
The young lady is capable of gloatishness, although only with good cause, I'm sure.
And I'm equally sure it must come from her father's side, since he doesn't post nearly as much.

PSM posted some pictures of the car Maddie inherited? No, I haven't seen them.
And there's a difference between celebrating some very cool stuff that one's great-grandmother has left to you and gloating in the courtroom. I would expect Maddie's professionalism to rule out the latter.

Maddie loved her Grandma and her Grandma would have gotten a kick out of seeing Maddie is her "cougar gear." It wasn't gloating, she was acting silly.

I'm wondering who ES's blue-shirted attorney is, myself.
And hey, if I was representing a gentle soul like Annie against pure evil, I might be tempted to stick out my tongue just a little.

So where are the pictures?
Did you hide them in a football thread or something?

At least that other thread has become popcorn-worthy.

I'm sorry.
I put them on my Facebook page because family members wanted to see Maddie when she got the car. I hope that it didn't seem like gloating, Maddie was deliberately trying to channel Norma Desmond.
By the way, the whole family is incredibly proud of her because she did an incredible job with the eulogy. They couldn't believe she was on 15 and she mentioned some things about her Grandma, that her son didn't even know. (Maddie's grandma, for instance, always wanted to go on a Game Show, but was too afraid to audition.) Maddie and Emma basically spent the summer regularly visiting with their grandmother, talking to her and listening to her talk about her life. They really got to know her as a person and so they will be able to share their memories with their children.

Oh, please don't tell her I said that she was gloatful. I meant it in a good way, that shiny happy face that only comes with the first car, or first love, or first, well, first stuff.
Last thing I want is for Maddie to think that someone out there thinks that unadulterated happiness was somehow negative.
