WWTBAM Bored

I emailed Trisha yesterday about the possibility of the pre-emption of my show on the 20th due to the Presidential Inauguration but she hasn't responded yet AND I just looked at our local TV listings for Tuesday the 20th on my DVR and, sure enough, it shows the Presidential coverage from 10:00am until 5:00pm here and "Millionaire" is on at 3:00pm! On top of that, I just scheduled my watching party and emailed the invitations for Friday the 23rd after I received the email from Trisha confirming my dates!

The problem I have is that I know very few people who live outside of Dallas and the ones that aren't here don't have a way to record the show for me. Since you all are scattered across the country, I thought I would plead my case here and ask if anyone would mind checking local listings where you live to verify if the show is set to air there that day and, if so, could you possibly record it for me?

Anyone who volunteers to help me with this I will owe big time! Otherwise, I will have to fly somewhere for the day where I know it will air just so I can record it. I wonder if it will air in Hawaii....

Plenty of folks will record it for you.

Also you might call your affiliate and ask when they will air it. A 2:30 am viewing party would still be fun....

Just did a WWTBAM search on my guide for the next week...according to how I'm reading it, they're gonna jump right over you...no local BAM on th 20th

I'm gonna keep looking...apparently, we're looking for episode #1203...at least, according to my DishNetwork guide...don't give up yet!

The schedule for KCAL in Los Angeles shows each episode airing in its proper 6:30 PM time slot next week. A week without pre-emptions (because of either Lakers or Dodgers games) is indeed rare.

I'll be recording the show anyway, so I'd be happy to burn it to DVD+R for you. Is it just the Tuesday (19th) show you need?

I am sorry that a great thing in your life has become a problem for you.

Tuesday is the 20th.

It looks like inauguration coverage finishes at 3PM local time and WWTBAM is on at 4PM local time so I will also record it

WWTBAM airs at noon in Austin - I don't know if it will be preempted or not - if it isn't I should be able to record it as well.

I should have known not to trust KCAL. In spite of their published schedule, which still shows a normal week, they slipped in a pre-emption today, "Countdown to DTV."

According to Zap2It, which seems to be a better predictor of KCAL's programming than TitanTV, which is used on KCAL's own website, all episodes will be pushed back a day, with Friday's episode aired on Saturday at 7:00 PM.

Last week, they missed showing Thursday's episode completely. Sheesh!
