And then there were four

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Sun Nov 25, 2007 8:31 pm

Chewy, the two year old dwarf hamster, passed over the rainbow bridge today.

He has a long happy life, and although Big J is saddened, he knows that hamster lives are short lives.

We have been looking for a box, to transport him to the bridge crossing, and in a tough of black humour, the only empty little box we found was a Quaker "Chewy" granola bar box.

This actually caused a fair amount of giggles.

Every funeral should include laughter. It's a tribute to the pleasure the deceased has brought into the survivors' lives.

I am very sorry for your loss. It sucks when pets die.

Saucy, what happened to the proposal where J would go to boarding school?

Or did I miss the conclusion? If so sorry.

Still in the discussion stage. He is quite keen now, and actively talking like it is a done deal, but we are just waiting to see what the first term report card is like. He knows that it has to show much improvement in the "effort" zone, for us to consider putting out 35G + per year. We should have some idea in the next couple of weeks.

Big J - so cute!

Perfect choice for a casket. Chewy would have liked it.
