NFC Championship Game

#1 Post by macrae1234 » Mon Jan 12, 2009 8:36 am

For the first playoff game Arizona needed 2 extensions to sell out the stadium
Yesterday they increased the capacity over 8,000, Fiesta Bowl configuration with seats in the area where the field rolls in and out and made tickets available only to AZ residents and sold out in 6 minutes

As opposed to the Vikings playoff game last week where they had to make a public plea to sell several thousand tickets at the last minute in order to avoid the local TV blackout. Of course, the weather differences between MN and AZ may have had something to do with that as well.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

The forecast probably contributed to my husband picking up Giants' ticket below face value. Mini-me was slipping and sliding on the way to the game, but fortunately they got a room at the on-site hotel to minimize driving on ice.

I wish the Cardinals well in their endeavors!

Arent the Vikes still in the HHH Dome? I do remember au bon vieux temps, former Winnipeg coach Bud Grant on the sidelines for he Vikes in weather even colder than Manitoba.

Arizona needed a swimming pool company to purchase a block of tickets to sell out and yes Minnesota plays indoors. With regard to Bud Grant if I recollect he would not permit heaters on the sidelines for his team when they palyed outdoors.

Yesterday, my friend, Lori, and I were in NYC to see Stockard Channing in Pal Joey (review later).

The first stop on the train home was Secaucus.

All of a sudden, the train sounded like a New Year's Eve party. Scores of Eagles fans got on.

Throughout the train trip, the four young men in front of us made their plans for Phoenix next week. They had tickets and a hotel room by the time we got to Trenton.

Those kids got those tickets from someplace.

BTW, I think the Eagles could win, although certainly not by the 45-14 margin the Eagles beat them by on Thanksgiving.

Stubhub had tickets available immediately
cheap seats 250-300
club level 700 in end zone 1500 sideline
