Hey Tennisguy

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sun Jan 11, 2009 4:42 pm

Pear of Anguish, WTF? Stupid Sploofus
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

You mean this was an actual question? I thought you were just commenting on the treatment that Sploofus continues to give you.

Yet they keep sticking me with geography questions when there are so many others ripe (ha!) for the answering.

I think they might have whipped out the PoA last year on The Tudors when they were trying to get poor Mark Smeaton to confess to boffing Anne Boleyn.

It was not a QOTD, just a run of the mill quiz question.

Okay, that's makes more sense. There are some pretty bizarre quiz topics sometimes. I haven't been on Spoofus much since I didn't extend my Gold membership, so I haven't taken a lot of quizzes lately. But I definitely would have jumped on a torture one. Even though I'm still a bit embarassed at my poor showing on a Manson one a while back.

I often see tennis guy listed on quiz results and we often have similar scores and times. I figured he missed the same one I did.
