If we know the songs and actually have them, are we allowed to listen to them?
Can I recruit my sister to duet with me and sing them on Saturday night? (If you say yes to this one, everybody in my family except my sister will be unhappy, ha!)
Or should I just cowboy up and sing them in my head until I run out of lyric or stumble across a name?
Also:
I've already figured out why you specified "no Fanny pet names", ha!

I would say that you can't intentionally go looking for a song to hear it. If it should just happen to be played within your earshot, well, that's just a coincidence. You may sing to your heart's content, though if your sister provides the missing part, that could be considered cheating unless you played as a tag team......
Or better yet, just ask Clem. He's the expert on this game....

Cowboy it is, then!
I only got a couple right off the bat but, after I posed the question, a few more have already come to me. Luckily there are no songs (that I recognize) that I absolutely hate, so it's okay if they go through my head all day. Ha!
It's one of those, "I can sing every line if I'm singing along with the song but can't remember anything if I'm on my own" things.

Here's something funny, I was working on my mp3 list last night and was going through the Js. I didn't intentionally go looking for songs, but I did notice the two J songs from this LS in my list. But I didn't listen to them and, ironically enough, I didn't get the hidden BB for either of them. Ha!
And I've decided that I have way too many mp3s! Does anybody really need FIVE different versions of Hot Rod Lincoln? And that's not even counting Hot Rod Race (Hot Rod Lincoln was the response song to that).
If I wasn't busy listening to all my Hot Rod Lincolns, the play list might have gotten down to one of the J songs on its own. Ha!

Please tell me you are joking about there being 5 different versions of Hot Rod Lincoln. Please.....
And who do we have to thank for that fine song, Willie, JJ, or Hoyt.....?

NOT joking! There could actually be more than that, but I only have five.
Ahem....
Charlie Ryan (who I think wrote it)
Johnny Bond
Commander Cody
Asleep at the Wheel
and our very own patron saint of Winter 09 LS, George Thorogood!
Hot Rod Race was Jimmy Dolan.
