Since we all know math is my weakest subject, I would figure out the $8K. I know that Hamilton is on the 10 dollar bill and Lincoln is on the 5. Five times 10 is fifty, and five times 5 is 25. So the answer is B. See, I CAN do math!!!!

Is this a case of TDC® or is it just that she thought "Hamiltons" were $20s rather than $10s? No matter - she was doing very well and I thought she might go far.

She was able to handle the math, but she just picked the wrong bill. Hard to say if more time would have let her remember the right one in this case. I thought she looked pretty nervous, though. And how do you judge that she was doing very well when she only got through the $4K question?

I'll grant that she knew the pop music answer that I'd have needed to ATA.

I judge her performance on the basis of the facility with which she answered the previous questions. I realize that the low-dollar value questions are not that tough, but some contestants lately have struggled.
