Took the girls to see High School Musical 3 last night.

I though the original was very good and HSM:2 was decent, but HSM3 was pathetic. Only 2 good songs. The conflict was weak.

You are a better father than I am - I generally like musicals - but after watching half of HS1, I swore I would never watch another.

elwing is a fan of the HSM series so I took her to see HSM3 in the theater. She later said that it was OK but lost a lot from the previous two.

This was Annie's birthday movie, even though she had seen it once before. We went to the matinee, and it cost $5 to get all of us in the door. Even at that, I felt ripped off. I had my iPod with me, and was sorely tempted to listen to it.

$5 total for the four of you, Rexer?

As far as getting ripped off goes, that's a bargain! :P

So what did Annie say about why she tired of the iPod?

She was in melt-down mode last night, so the subject was not broached.
She's home sick after throwing up in the first five minutes of school today. If she feels all right when I get home, I'll ask her.

I hope she feels better!

How many times can they make Sharpay a bitch only to "repent" in the end before such a plot device becomes implausible?

Or have Troy unable to decide between sports and performing, or his girlfriend, or his friends, or whatever, until the last 10 minutes of the moive?

Unless the conflict was something different this time? (Haven't seen it yet- my daughter has, though).

Sharpay????????

Pronounced like the wrinkle-doggie? Well, no wonder she's a bitch!

Disclaimer: I have never seen any edition of HSM. And probably never will. I prefer actual high school musicals, especially when my kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews are involved.

Yes- one of the many, but probably lesser, Disney sins- to make Sharpay an acceptable name for a human being.

I hope you will reconsider your position when I come out with my movie, Home School High School Musical. (It will be a while, though. I have to finish my opera first.)

The girls hate HSM, so I didn't have to see any of the movies. :)

I disagree.

HSM1 was good
HSM2 sucked
HSM3 was good

Remember, they are what they are. They are Disney made for teens movies.

BTW, all three are better than the 1999 Best Picture Oscar winner.

When I first read this, I thought it was ShinyCar posting that she had taken Annie to the movie. I was misled by the similarity in avatars.

I've never been to the movies. I only get to see movies on television or DVD. My mom says she's not allowed to take me and, anyway, I would be more comfy watching from the couch instead of a cramped-up seat in the theater. I would like to test that for myself, just once.

Try a drive-in. I hear that you can get real comfy in the back seat of a Camaro. You can get other things in the back seat too. Or so I hear.

It's too bad you weren't born yet when drive-in theaters were around.

They're still around...not quite dead yet.

When I was younger, I took a couple of dogs to drive-in theaters.

Looking around to see if I need to duck and cover......

Annie, that's just not true - your mom has mislead you. Everyone knows that 'assistance' animals are allowed in public buildings. All your mom has to do before walking in with you to see a movie is to put on a pair of very dark glasses so you can guide her in.

May I suggest the new Marley & Me movie. :D

We had a group of 7. Tickets were $3.50.

The Popcorn and Mr. Pibb I bought cost me an additional $9.

How about Beverly Hills Chihuhua? And there's the upcoming canine masterpiece, Hotel for Dogs.
