Millionaire Set on Soap Opera

I turned on my TV and it just happened to still be on the ABC station. Before I could change the channel I saw Ty Treadway from "Merv Griffin's Crosswords" sitting in the host chair on the BAM set. That was enough to catch my attention. My listing showed the soap as "One Life To Live." A character was in the hot seat guessing questions about some kid standing in the contestant's entry way with some other man. After each question there was a cut to some guy in a hospital room.
A soap fan will have to fill in the blanks better than I can about what was going on with the scenes.

On One Life to Live Ty Treadway used to play "himbo" characters (by himbo I mean they wore no shirt half the time) who were twins. Of course one twin was evil and one was good and their names were Colin and Troy. I think that Colin is dead, so you may have seen him as Troy.
I haven't watched the show in a long time.

The episode was a fantasy. Rex (the guy in the coma) is the real father of the young boy, but at the time, the other man(who also had the hots for the kid's mother) was masquerading as the kid's father. Rex imagined that he was on the game show and that he had to answer enough correct questions to "prove" that he was entitled to be the boy's father. Whenever he missed a question, he slipped deeper in the coma. As with Slumdog Millionaire, the emcee did not exactly play fair during the game. One Life to Live is one of the few soap operas which films in New York, which made it easy for them to use the Millionaire set during the taping.
Mrs. SSS and I are big fans of OLTL who tape the show and watch it every day.
