"Casual upscale dining". Oxymoron or not. You be the judge.

I believe that means the food and drinks will be very expensive, but you can wear your shorts and sandals.

I agree completely with the oxymoron. The problem is people today are changing
everything "upscale" to casual, from fine dining to going to a Broadway play, the ballet or the
symphony. Instead of wearing our very best, you'll see jeans and tennis shoes and it's perfectly
acceptable. Not perfectly acceptable to me, but nothing I can do about it.

What Uday said. I would remove the 'very', though.

Like dining at The Stissing House.

Some people have the audacity to wear animal print blouses to Little Black Dress Parties just because they like to be different. :)

Hey, it's MY party and I'll wear what I want!  I needed to be
a bit different as the hostess. That's it. :D

That's the restaurant at the Basking Ridge Country Club here. Golfers don't want to put on ties after their game. That's why it's my kind of place.

It has been almost 8 years since I wore anything but jeans and tennis shoes.....

You now know why I avoid such upscale places.....

So how hard is it to add some bedazzler jewels to your shoelaces?

LB might be Kevin Smith in disguise, or a cousin to Silent Bob.

My thoughts about the dining is that this is where the guy who didn't check his credit report at freakincreditreport.com is playing the guitar.

"If you have to wear a tie to go there, I don't go there."

Can't remember who it is I'm quoting.
