You roll a very nice ball, you just need a little coaching and some practice.

You would be rolling a 140 average in very short order if you bowled in a league.

That is a really kind thing to say.

Thank you.

I was doing something wrong.

That's probably where Pealette's gracefulness comment came from -- you probably had all your weight on your left foot at a dead stop when you released the ball, so you had the torque plus the weight of the ball stressing your left gluteus muscles. I wouldn't say "wrong," you just need a couple lessons so that your slide up to the line and ball release coincide with each other.

This isn't a race, but I can also tell you that you would get better faster than BDM. He would have to unlearn that overhand method of slinging the ball down the lane so that it maximizes his pin action.

Kidding! I know there are at least two very knowledgeable bowlers out there, and I assure you, BDM does not overhand the ball down the alley. He does roll fast and straight right at the headpin and gets a lot of pin action if he hits it.

I did some Wii bowling over the weekend with my family.

It is a fairly accurate rendition of actual bowling. As is usual with actual bowling, I couldn't get any sort of a consistent hook going so I resorted to straight bowling and had to pick up a lot of spares. My scores were mostly around 160-170 but I did get a 207.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I used to bowl with a couple of people like that and the operative phrase there is "if he hits it".

I'm sorry I just felt the need to point out that this thread has thus far touched upon "nice balls" "butt cheeks" "gluteus" "hitting it" and other things that would be really funny but I feel too guilty to post...

bdm usually hits the headpin
one needs a fingertip ball to throw a hook
bdm cant ever find such a ball that fits at the lanes,so he throws a straight ball.A thunderous straight ball.
bdm likes lotsa noise, and likes to hit stuff with maximum velocity
