LS Day 21 12/7/08 ANSWERS AND POINTS

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Sun Dec 28, 2008 12:55 pm

1. From 1946:
(SONG TITLE) won't you come out tonight,
Come out tonight, come out tonight
(SONG TITLE) won't you come out tonight
And dance by the light of the moon?

BUFFALO GAL - JIMMY STEWART AND/OR DONNA REED AS GEORGE AND MARY BAILEY - IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

2. From 1975:
Wasn't it yesterday
We used to laugh at the wind behind us?
Didn't we run away and hope
That time wouldn't try to find us (didn't we run)?

OK, so I screwed up royally on this. This was SUPPOSED to be "Do You Know Where You're Going To", the theme from "Mahogany" but I accidently used the lyrics to TOUCH ME IN THE MORNING - DIANA ROSS - NOT FROM MAHOGANY. So everyone who played today got three points for my stupidity.

3. From 1979:
Please, don't let this feeling end
It's everything I am
Everything I wanna be
I can see what's mine now
Finding out what's true

THROUGH THE EYES OF LOVE - MELISSA MANCHESTER - ICE CASTLES

4. From 1980:
Home, don't it seem so far away
Oh, we're travelling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm

AMERICA - NEIL DIAMOND - THE JAZZ SINGER

5. From 2006:
I'm not livin' without you
I don't wanna be free
I'm stayin', I'm stayin'
And you, and you, you're gonna love me

AND I AM TELLING YOU I'M NOT GOING - JENNIFER HUDSON - DREAMGIRLS

6. From 1977:
There are stories old and true
Of people so in love like you and me
And I can see myself
Let history repeat itself

MORE THAN A WOMAN - THE BEE GEES - SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

7. From 1969:
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And teh feelin' that I'm under

BORN TO BE WILD - STEPPENWOLF - EASY RIDER

8. From 1974:
Stage door Johnnies always surround me
They always hound me with one request
Who can satisfy their lustful habits?
I'm not a rabbit!
I need some rest!

I'M TIRED - MADELINE KAHN - BLAZING SADDLES

9. From 1989:
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
It's possible she wants you, too
There is one way to ask her

KISS THE GIRL - SAMUEL E. WRIGHT (SEBASTIAN THE CRAB) - THE LITTLE MERMAID

10. From 1967:
A friend who taught me right from wrong
And weak from strong
That's a lot to learn
What, what can I give you in return?

TO SIR WITH LOVE - LULU - TO SIR WITH LOVE

11. From 1992:
Well, you started out with nothing
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawlin'
Slap you on the back and say, "Pleeeeeeeeease"

STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU - STEALERS WHEEL - RESERVOIR DOGS

12. From 1956:
When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows, day after day?"
Here's what my sweetheart said

QUE SERA SERA - DORIS DAY - THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH

I think you awarded my points total correctly, KT, so I don't care that I show a zero here. I do think this is the game I got them on. I think it's the only game I played.

OK, I somehow got screwed on the count on this one.

Song 1: I got song but not movie or artist : 1

Song 2: Gratis 3 from KT (though I only got song, not artist or movie)

Song 7: song, artist, movie: 3

Song 10: song, artist, movie: 3

Song 11: Song, artist: 2

Song 12: Song, artist, movie: 3

That's 15 points, not 6; what gives?

Hmmm....somehow the formula for this day got screwed up. Seems like the total for the whole shebang was OK, though, so this doesn't affect anything. Anyway, here's the (I think) right set of totals for 12/7:
