A pretty good fantasy year

I was in three fantasy football leagues this year and made the championship games in all three. I only won one of the three but it was by far the one I wanted to win the most. Not only did it pay a lot more but the other members of that league are the biggest bunch of trash-talking smart-alecks I know. It will be good to have see my name on the Championship Axe. (It started as a Fireman's League and the league trophy is a fancy firefighter's axe)

Here is how my fantasy leagues came out.

NFL.com league Second Place No money involved

Krewe of Clyde's league Second Place Won $450

Fireman Frank's league Champion Won $2,000

Additionally, the team my buddy and I were partners in won two four week sessions for 7% each and will take the overall best winning percentage good for another 23% in a football betting pool that a group of us play in each year. Last year, one percent of the total pool was good for $58.00. I think we will be a little less than that this year, but even if the total pool drops to $5,500 we will still get a pretty good payout. $55.00 X 37=$2,035.00. I only get half of that but I am real happy. Last year we only won 3% for finishing second in one of the four week sessions.

So all in all, football was pretty good for me this season. Quite a contrast from last year when my motto in December was "I hate football and football hates me  ) Sorry for the bragging but it will probably be 10 years before I have this kind of year again.

The last week of our football pool just finished. I finished 3rd in the fourth session which paid nothing but did lock up the first place overall. Yahoo.
