well yestidy, the snow turned to rain, and I was able to get my vehicle out of the parking lot. We headed off aroung 9:30 to Mom and Dad's. A neighbour had used his John Deere to plough them out, so there was a nice clean driveway to get into.
The power had been off since around 7 am there, and didn't come back on til about 3 pm. Dad and I headed to town and picked up a bucket of chicken, and some premade soup that was in a heated container.
Christmas eve, we went to church, and Big J helped Dad with the passing out of the candles for the lighting service. He sang all the carols (loudly) and was exchanging glances with a young lady in the youth choir.
This morning was wonderful. We had some lovely gifts exchanged, talked to my SIL (everyone else was gone to the slopes to ski) and got our Cornish hens stuffed. The sun in shining and it is about 10 C here and things are melting fast.
Hope all had a safe happy holiday.

1) What a nice sounding Christmas! I'm glad it was so wonderful. Warming up to "10" is not exactly a heat wave though. LOL I'm just glad you were able to get out and about.
2) I was thinking of you this afternoon when I ran across the pictures of you and Fanny that were taken while we were in Seattle. I love those pictures. Mia famiglia gave me one of those snazzy digital picture frames for Christmas. I'm having entirely too much fun with it.
3) PLOUGH???? Oh my heck. (lol) I don't know that I have ever seen it spelled like that. That being said, I LOVE IT!

9/5 + 32.
(9 * (10/5)) + 32
(9 * 2) + 32 = 50 F.

Yeah, we lived in a place that used metric for everything for a few years. I noticed Saucy had put the C after the 10, so I just figured it in my head as to what 10 felt like. 50 isn't a heat wave, but not exactly freezing either. LOL

Centigrade??!! We haven't used that term since my high school days.
Us 20th Century types now refer to it as
Celsius.
