Saw Cinderella in a party dress...

...but she was looking for a night gown
I gave in to Amazon's recommendations tool and bought an album by The Killers, which I love. One song in particular plays in my head over and over (and in the car for real when I'm in it):
Dustland Fairytale, which I did not understand what it was about for a while but still was affected by its passion and anger and a very particular keyboard sequence toward the end (out here the bell don't ring). Finally I looked up the lyrics, and found commentary that it's about the songwriter's parents' meeting in a trailer park, which explains the 1961 reference, and later, his mother's dealing with cancer, which explains his asking Cinderella not to go to sleep, and the good girls die here, and all sorts of stuff.
If you ever buy singles through iTunes or other outlets, I highly recommend this one. Also for fun from this album is "Human", which will remind you of the Pet Shop Boys if anyone. Unless that makes you go ugh, in which case pretend I didn't say it, and listen to a clip first.
