Last day of work for the year

At least at the salaried workplace. We have the rest of the week off, and I'm taking vacation time next week to be with the HC.
Meanwhile, GW does NOT have either Wednesday or Friday off. She's not happy about it. I'll be home cleaning for the HC (like they care) and for the family shindig (like they care, either). Since GW cares, I'm cleaning.
I might also duck out for a last-minute gift card or two. Need to get iTunes cards for both SIL and GW, which are available most anywhere, and maybe a clothing store card for HS, which is not. We have more practical gifts for him, because he needs more basic living stuff than BD. His entertainment stuff will be for his birthday in a little over two weeks.

I can be slow at times, but I'm having trouble figuring out what HC means.
Homecoming, headcount, Hanukkah Candles???? I give up! Want to help me out? Thanks!

Where are all your aiders and abetters when you need them?
Maybe you know what GP means. You do a lot of GPing....

Continuing my tradition of using abbreviations for family members, HC means "Happy Couple".
For those who came in late:
GW = Gorgeous Wife
BD = Beautiful Daughter
BD^^2 = Big Day for Beautiful Daughter (see: Wedding Blog)
HS = Handsome Son
FSIL = Future Son-In-Law (now just SIL, of course)

Thank you!! It was worrying me that I didn't know who/what it was.

Okay, but what about HC that Kay asked about.
And from me, how long will SIL have to be a family member before he rates a descriptive word preceding his name? Or maybe it's just implied? Say, maybe right now it could be DASIL or NWSIL escalating to SWASIL to DDSIL to WGSIL.

Okay, I'll bite. What are all those?
And I define HC in my reply to Kay. First sentence.

Oops, not enough tea yet this morning. Missed your first sentence.
I tried to run the gamut of where I thought sons-in-law all over might rank:
DA = Dumbass
NW = Not Worthy
SWA = Somewhat Acceptable
DD = Dashing Debonaire
WG =World's Greatest

I think I'll start with DD and work up or down from there.
Eventually, he will become FoMG - Father of My Grandchildren. Not yet, though.

No, I don't know what a lot of the Bored family acronyms mean....
But you claim to have all these aiders and abetters..... where are they when you are in need of their assistance? True friends they are.....

You lazy bum!

Since I don't get paid if I don't work now, I'd work Thursday if I could.
