Am I the only one who see's Appa's name on the message list where he just posted in the Xmas records thread in italics?
The funny thing is, when I click on that message, he shows up unitalicized among the lurkers (Since he is hidden, I always see him in italics).... but when I go back to the message list, he's back to his normal italicized on the lurker list.....

OK, it is just me. As ES, his name is unitalicized on the list.....
But logging back in as me, it is now italicized again.....
I have never seen that before.....

Apparently, it is some new admin feature I see for the hiddens when they are online, beacuse now I see the same phenomena with KT and Skoop, and no longer with Appa since he's not lurking at the moment....

We could have long, heated debates about whether any particular gratuitous post is indeed gratuitous. Some of us love to argue. Some of us love to count.

I've never been that actively involved in gratuitous posting. Oh shut up. But, I shall make it my end year's resolution to remedy that situation.

I love to post gratuitously.

I guess I could do a little gratuitous editing. . .

I'm not gratuitous, I'm procrastinating.

In my professional opinion, I'd say that gratuitousness would be a subcategory or at the least have a lateral or axillary relationship with procrastination. Procrastination is a very robust state of not doing and envelopes such a variety of methods of not doing, one of which is gratuitousness.
Like that enaht.

It does when I'm sitting on her lap at the time......
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!
--squirrelmama (10/3/07)
Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.
