The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees was absent but hadn't called in. One of the main computers needed his expertise. He called him and heard a child whisper. "Hello?" He asked if daddy was home and got a very soft "yes."

"May I talk with him?" (no)

"Uh, OK, how about mommy? Is she there? (yes). Can I talk to mommy? (no). This kid sounded way too young to be this rude! "Is there any adult there I can leave a message with?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." Wondering why a cop was over there, the boss asked if he could talk to the policeman.

"He's real busy."

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to daddy and mommy and the fireman," came the whispered answer. Suddenly, the boss heard a loud noise through the earpiece and asked what it was. The tiny voice told him it was a big heddicopter.

Now this was just too scary. It was obvious that something life-and-death was at stake. "What's going on there?"

"The search team just landed in our yard."

"Oh my goodness! What are they searching for?"

In the softest whisper so far, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle, "Me."
