for the guy who has everything and buys all his own clothes. I mean all his own clothes.
Purchased so far:
One digital photo frame (dang those things are expensive)
One cordless, seemingly user friendly, bluetooth thingie for car - no unsightly earpiece necessary-has speaker or
will work through stereo system
One assortment of Maglite flashlights since I always get accused of taking the only he has and can never
remember where he puts it
Anyone???

Try this:
Here is a description. A good wine store near you would probably carry it.

How about the Dyson car care kit? It has several different attachments that hook up to your regular Dyson, including a long, flexible crevice tool that I've discovered is a gem for narrow spaces inside the house, too; a brush with a different shape; and a mini-turbo tool for upholstery.

Does that come with a dumpster?

You don't need a dumpster. You need a landfill.

I actually sent Ellyn on a trip to Wally Wine when she was in LA recently. We can't get stuff like that here in
Alabama.

Damn do I wish I could. She did find me some kind of Ginger liquor and sent it to me.
He is a huge wine collector and has already converted two closets into wine storage
only - finds what he likes and buys it by the case.

This sounds fabulous. However, you know who would end up using it....ME!!
He doesn't wash his own car...has the guy who does our yard work do it for him.
Where
does one find this anyway?

At Costco yesterday I did see the Tobi steamer....I wanted it! But I wasn't
buying for myself, so I didn't get it.

I'm hoping most the mess will end up composting on its own......

I found these with a quick google search. I don't know if either of these places will ship with second-day delivery to get it to you before Christmas. The kits also have been sold in many stores that carry Dyson, including Target, Sears, etc., but apparently are not listed on their web sites at the moment. It might be worth some phone calls to try to find one in stock at a local store.

Assuming he's got an MP3 player, I've always wanted a nice pair of high-quality noise reduction earphones. There are a ton of models available and nt just old standbys like BOSE etc.

I've read some consumer comments indicating BOSE noise reduction headphones distort your eardrum (that's the gimmick). It is not necessarily harmful but it creeps me out so I won't buy them. I did get some BOSE headphones without the noise reduction, but we used them so much watching TV late at night, they broke after about six months. But I got them on reward points so it didn't hurt too badly.

I would be interested in a car vacuuming system that plugs into the lighter, rather than having to own a Dyson and take it out there. Does anyone know of anything like this?

Black & Decker used to make a model like this. I don't know if it's still in production. It's a simple design, with just a couple of attachments. The cord is about 10 or 12 ft long, so you can vacuum all of the interior of your car.
I had to go out to the car and check. It is a B&D CarVac. This unit may be 15 years old. Good luck Googling.

Boonie asked for a salad spinner.
Does that help?

Dyson also makes a hand-held vacuum. It's rechargeable, so you don't have to plug it into anything in your car. It's also relatively expensive (surprise!) at about $150 retail, but I'm willing to bet it's far more efficient than the competition.
It does not have the nifty tools to let you get into so many tiny crevices, but perhaps it trains the dirt and dust to jump into the vaccum. My own trained dust knows only one trick: down, stay.
