One group photo from my Little Black Dress Party. Note the little lady on the far right next to the cute girl in the
red. She's wearing an embroidered sweater. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday!!

Did the "cute girl in red" miss the memo, or did she just not understand the meaning of "Little Black Dress Party"?

She did stress about that, but I assured her that basically we just didn't want
anyone to show up in jeans and a t-shirt!

90?!?!? Good Lord--she looks fantastic! My grandmother will be 90 next month, and she's still trying to use the stairs whenever she can, but she looks 90. Not wrinkled at all, so it must be the grey hair.
I see a Care Bear, but no Hello Kitty. I think Chapman needs a Hello Kitty.

Note the firemen in the photo. They stopped by to pick up Toys for Tots. None of the toys
stayed at my house. I don't think Chapman will have any Hello Kitty items under the tree, although his 3 year
old sister may.

That's so sweet! Now I want one. Will you send me one for Christmas? I've been very good.

You haven't even sent the Auburn Volunteer Street Department up here yet to clear our roads!
Maybe you should ask ORB to stop by Saks and get you one.....

I thought the fireman was there because of all the Christmas candles. Or the smokin' babes set off the alarm...
One of my favorite memories was when we were in the pool at my late f-i-l's house, and my b-i-l was working that night but stopped by to say hi to us all. He's a cop and was in uniform and Mini-me was only three and didn't recognize him with his hat on, and he looked up from the raft he had been floating on and said, "I was being good!" He was worried someone had called the police on our tame little party!

Thanks! I suppose I could just call my personal shopper and have them overnight it to me, since
LB won't send me one.

Someone once said to me, "Every party needs one woman in a red dress."
After years of reflection, I agree.

I owned a red dress when I was in my 20's. I think they meant every party needs a chick who still looks good in red...

Only if said chick is Norma Shearer. And she wants her ass kicked by Carole Lombard.

Between Miss Lee (our 90 year old guest) Aubie and myself, we had a nice variety of party
clothes...and yes, one red dress.
I guess Miss Lee could give Norma Shearer a run for her money.
