FYI, My sources (Tech geek and Engineering major friends) tell me that this should be taken seriously and you should switch if at all possible.

The IT people at work are freaking out, and reminding everyone to use Firefox if at all possible. I can't think why it wouldn't be possible - just need to import bookmarks and off you go, with fewer pop-ups and better security.

Pardon my ignorance, but how does one go about switching? This seems to be the only one I have on my computer.

Go here and download whatever version fits your system.

I downloaded Firefox after getting some kind of virus 2 years ago. Got to play around with it for one night, then my computer blew up....

I mean it literally blew up.... smoke and everything....

Never downloaded it on the new computer....
