PeaBabe, you do know that he is 82 years old, right?

I know he worked several years without a contract in place.

And a couple of years ago there was a bit of a scandal. It seems Joe didn't want to tell anyone his salary. But since it is a State school he was forced to disclose it. Turns out he was one of the most underpaid college coaches given the size of his school. Apparently he though he was getting paid enough and he was giving back quite a bit to the school already, so he didin't negotiate a higher salary.

I do know all that - Beedums will not stop talking about him.

I was not serious in telling you to not encourage him. I was poking fun at Beedums. You, of course, can encourage anyone you darn well please.

He just envies the success of PennState and JoePa.

It is tough being from the Burgh.

Joepa does not coach the team. He's very well paid for what he
does. Just sayin'...

when penn st was losing, joepa was a terrible coach

now that they are winning, he has nothing to do with the team

Dude, I know I don't keep track of the NFL like I usta, but 6 SB for the Stealers? I think that's a touch inflated.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

Kay Sweetheart, there is a lot JoePa does. I was talking about where his salary was compared to other 'coaches' of schools of similar size and football programs.

And since I like you so much, let's just pretend you didn't just diss my teams head coach, okay?

At 83 or however old he is - we all know he's not carrying the full load of "head coach". I admire PSU for allowing him to keep the title and the pay for 3 more years. I guarantee his successor will get a big pay raise on his contract.

I really am not dissing him at all. - it's just an unusual situation that seems to be working for now. I wish them all the luck as the season comes to an end.
