... not Illinois, but Louisiana (not much of a surprise there either), according to a study by Corporate Crime Reporter, based on the number of public corruption convictions per person of population. Illinois is right in there at Number 5, however.

One caveat: The survey only ranks the 35 most populous states, so Alaska, which would surely be in the running, is not included in the study.

I'm not surprised that my state is #3 on the list. We've got Ernie Fletcher, Mitch McConnell, Paul Patton, Anne Northup, and Ken Lucas. We've got corrupt Republicans and Democrats, too.

My town is specifically mentioned in the article. Makes one proud...
