Arthur Petrelli stole the regeneration power from Adam Monroe, right? So there's no reason to believe he's really dead, just because he took a bullet to the head?
And now we're supposed to believe that a powerless Hiro is going to be left stranded in the past? What would this show do without its comic relief?
Meh.

Peter and Nathan are on opposite sides.
Nathan's constituents can't be real happy with him. He's never in his office and certainly doesn't seem to be working for them as a Senator. Or working as a Senator at all, for that matter.
Sylar has gone rabid. So much for the happy family life we saw in the "future".
The catalyst looked to be gone with Arthur's "death", so that vessel on the lab bench is all the ability-granting serum there is. At least for now.
Paradox: If present-day Hiro became the catalyst (then lost it to Arthur), does present-day Claire still have it since she never got it in the first place?
Why didn't Elle short out again when Sylar attacked her? And why was her skull still intact?
Peter's Irish GF is still among the missing.
Whatever happened with the two small scars on the neck that supposedly created the likes of Parkman, Nikki, and several others? How did the eclipse factor into that?
I am not impressed with the continuity or the logic. Maybe it'll all tie together when the series ends. Or they may no longer care.

That would be correct sir, unless someone cuts off his head, or removes the brain, or they bury him with the bullet still in place.

Peter will use the serum to regain his powers (now with super future scar action), go back & get Hiro, and using the last of the serum to return Hiro's powers & 'cure' Mohinder.

There you go again, letting logic get in the way of a so-so story

I think that was gone once Bennett tried to kill him

My guess is she still has it, since no one took it away from her, but no one will realize it, except for the viewers & probably Claire, courtesy of some cheesy reveal.

I think they plan on bringing Elle back somehow. Also, remember Sylar didn't need to steal her power, he just killed her because....well, ..uh...

Probably because they don't plan on bringing her back.

My guess these sloppy production values is why they canned several people a few months back.

In comic books death is never permanent, so we can expect Arthur to be back again someday. And Hiro will be back again, with powers intact, although how this will happen has yet to be revealed (it will probably be something fairly cheesy).
Sylar could never be the homebody portrayed in the future - and of course every time something happens in the present it affects the future, so it's possible that the "homemaker Sylar" could still come to be.
The scars are probably injection sites. Now how the eclipse "energizes" and then "removes" powers is a total mystery, but then again, if one can accept that gamma radiation can create a big green rage machine, or that the bite of a radioactive (or genetically-altered) spider can produce a hero, then anything's possible.
And what of the Marine - is he going to be "Captain America"?
