::BRILLIANT IDEA ALERT::!!!!!::

#1 Post by BigDrawMan » Mon Dec 08, 2008 5:07 pm

i have an idea to improve upon the common mousetrap.

it is, you will agree a Quantum Leap forward in mice killin.

meece are wily creatures
they learn at 6 times the rate of a cat
they can steal bait food without springing the trap

so

I propose coating the food holder thingy on the mousetrap with a sugar solution which cant be et without the trap springing

This will get you no kudos from one of my friends.

She sets "no-kill" traps with wastebaskets -- the meeces fall in but can't climb out. Then she sets them free outside.

She does not admire my peanut butter-baited spring traps, which work without the sugar solution. Thank you anyway. . .

I hear the pitter patter of the world's little feet, beating a path to your door.

Oh, my goodness, that's quite all right.

Please don't trouble yourself.

I do agree about killing vermin on sight. Assuming that really is what he said. Are you sure that was Ted Nugent and not FoodDude?

You wrote this in the plural. It could be the same mouse she's continuously catching and releasing!

It seems so obvious now that you've pointed it out -- that's absolutely right.

But nothing can dissuade her.

Are you sure that was Cowher who said that?

Guilty.

Ants serve no purpose and get sprayed. Roaches get squished. Slugs get salted. Everything else gets a free pass from me.

We heard scurrying in the attic and found squirrel poop. My son wanted to trap the squirrel and keep it. Fortunately, there has been no more scurrying. I will house and feed no more rodents.

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.
