Lapland New Forest theme park receives 2,000 complaints
Complaints about a fake Lapland Christmas attraction have reached 2,000, Trading Standards has said.

The Lapland New Forest attraction located on the Dorset Hampshire border - which costs up to £30 a ticket - promises a magical festive experience including a winter wonderland full of reindeers and log cabins, a skating rink and a magical tunnel of light.

However disappointed families have spoken of a "glorified car boot sale" with a Nativity scene on a billboard, a broken iceskating rink and huskies in a muddy field.

The park has was dubbed "Winter blunderland".

A Santa and three of his elves have already been attacked by customers at the theme park.

The Father Christmas was allegedly punched by a father who spent hours queuing and three elves are said to have been involved in the violent confrontations.

AN initial 50 complaints were made, rising to 1,300 on Tuesday, and 2,000 by yesterday.

Trading standards officers from Dorset County Council said they had visited the site but do not have the power to shut it down.
