Because of government rules regarding leave, I'm taking this week off; I have what's called "use or lose" leave and my boss doesn't want me to lose any leave; it reflects badly on his management style.
elwing had a craft show on Friday and Saturday but it didn't go well, largely because on Saturday the weather turned nasty - sleet and freezing rain caused a slew of accidents, several of which were on the roads leading to the church where the show was.
Sunday our choir sang one of my favorite Advent anthems - Holst's "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence". We also observed our annual "crosses on the lawn" ceremony in memory of those killed by acts of violence in our community.
And, of course, yesterday, December 7, was not only a "day that will live in infamy" but was also the 8th anniversary of my first PTBAM episode.
