This year, ten out of the twelve ACC teams finished either 5-3 or 4-4 in league play. This translates to 83.3% of league teams finishing at .500 or above, which is the highest percentage of teams finishing at .500 in any college football conference in history.
If Virginia had managed to beat VPI in their season finale (they lost by three points), it would have been 11 out of 12 at .500 or above.
