Working to relax

Sitting here at work is easier and more relaxing than working at home. I am achy from all the twisting, turning and ladder-climbing this weekend. Now comes putting the bathroom back together again - rehanging the doors, putting up the new towel racks and toilet paper holder we bought, attaching the new curved shower curtain rod, and so forth. Before the shower curtain goes up, though, I need to sand and put polyurethane on the skylight frame, then sand, patch and paint the inner section through the ceiling. The rod would be in the way of the ladder. Just a thrill a minute at our house.

At least our plans for the coming weekend will be fun. Saturday is a trip to our favorite vineyard, to stock up for ourselves and order some holiday wine for friends. Sunday evening is Mannheim Steamroller in concert. Small local venue (3000 seats, 15 minutes from the house), and we've wanted to see Chip Davis for a while.

Maybe I'll get to use the Wii sometime next week ...

You are never going to want to sell your home.

ever.

I hope you are enjoying all of the improvements you are making.

Want to, yes.

Be able to, not likely without major divine or whatever intervention on a lottery jackpot.

We've been here 28 years. Maybe it'll be just how we want it in another 28 ...

I guess that I shouldn't tell you that Chip Davis will not be performing, as he is injured, IIRC.

There was a local story here about how Davis had never seen a MS performance from the audience, so he was really excited to be able to do "see what everyone else sees".
