Yay! We're #3 !! Pocatello is just down the road from us too, and it is #24.
I Googled to discover that the list was for "Best Places To Look for a Job," a.k.a. cities with exceptionally low unemployment rates. The top cities were in the 2-3 percent range. States with cold winters -- Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota, for example -- fared well.lilclyde54 wrote:I am sure this is know to everyone with a more frequent presence here, but what list inclusion are we celebrating?
I think I hid the URL for the story a little too well. It is under the word, "We're"cindy.wellman wrote:Yay! We're #3 !! Pocatello is just down the road from us too, and it is #24.
I don't know what the minimum size of the city is to qualify for this list or if the job growth figured into the ranking, but our county typically ranks well with one of the lowest unemployment rates in New York state. However, we know that figure can be deceptive, since we also typically have a lot of underemployment, too--lots of grad students asking "Do you want fries with that?"silvercamaro wrote:I Googled to discover that the list was for "Best Places To Look for a Job," a.k.a. cities with exceptionally low unemployment rates.
