...Moviefone has issued its list of the top 25 biggest "turkeys" of all time - movies that were costly productions panned by the critics and shunned by audiences. The list, from 1 to 25, is:

1. Town & Country
2. The Adventures of Pluto Nash
3. Ishtar
4. Heaven's Gate
5. Cleopatra
6. Cutthroat Island
7. The Postman
8. Waterworld
9. Gigli
10. Battlefield Earth
11. Catwoman
12. Bonfire of the Vanities
13. Howard the Duck
14. Hudson Hawk
15. A Sound of Thunder
16. Basic Instinct 2
17. Shanghai Surprise
18. Leonard, Part 6
19. All the King's Men
20. One from the Heart
21. Speed 2: Cruise Control
22. Poseidon
23. Inchon!
24. Alexander
25. Sahara.

I don't know if Town & Country is the absolute worst or Sahara is.

Kevin Costner gets two hits, #7 and #8.

I presume #19 is the remake.

Sahara wasn't a bad movie.

I know I'm odd, but I just LOVED Waterworld. I've seen it 2 1/2 times-whenever it's on whatever channel it's playing on at the time.

I, too, do not see the reason for the vilification of Waterworld. Simplistic, yes, but overall a decent representation of its science fictional premise. Same for The Postman, though the book is much better.

That's the Liz Taylor Cleopatra? The one that won four Oscars? It was profitable too.
