Chicago-Area BB's with tvs
Try to watch channel 5 or 7 news tonight - Mrs. Fly and Frankie should get some time on camera. They went to our annual toy safety press conference this morning.
I'll try and post some links later today or tomorrow. Margy says she was standing between Jan Schakowsky and Lisa Madigan.

Channel 7 just said they were going to run it in the 4:30-5:00 half hour. Not sure if Margy and Frankie will get TV time.

Channel 5 had a close-up of Frankie, 7 had several close-ups. Both say that there's more on their websites, but I'm having trouble finding it. I think it'll take a while for it to upload. But Frankie and Mommy both looked fantastic!

Frankie is the star!
I noticed that your wife and Frankie were seated at the front of the room. Were they invited to this press conference specifically to provide a photogenic baby to drive home the message for viewers?

We always want to have a baby there, it makes it a zillion times more likely to get on tv. And both Mommy and I have done that press conference a few times, though not for many years. It's kind of a tradition that if you used to work for us (as Margy did for 5 years), you get invited first. The cameras always just zoom in on the baby.silvercamaro wrote:Frankie is the star!

Didn't hurt that 2 of probably the 5 leading candidates to take Barack Obama's Senate seat were seated on either side of them.

I consider it more likely that it was lucky for them to be seated near Frankie. It was impossible not to focus in on him even while watching the distant shots.ToLiveIsToFly wrote:

So now that the baby is a media star, he's taken the first step toward becoming a WE.
