He's home. Maddie was one of 19 students in the Sophomore class inducted into the National Honor Society. She was given a lit candle to symbolism her love of learning. It was scary watching her with an open flame.kayrharris wrote:Is Jebbers working this evening?
Maddie's Quiz Bowl school, Edison, has the week off, but both of the girls only have Thursday and Friday off this week.kayrharris wrote:Do the girls have school all week? Some of our schools got the

You cooking for the whole family on Thursday?
We are hosting Thanksgiving, but Jeff is making the turkey. He does a really good job, putting rosemary and garlic under the skin while it's cooking.kayrharris wrote:Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner? Can you believe I'm baking my first
turkey ever? Always had someone else doing the cooking or we went out.....guess it's never
too late to learn. I'm hoping for the best.
Tiger's response was that it was a "mutual decision."kayrharris wrote:Just saw where GM will save $7 million a year just by dropping Tiger

I didn't buy and extra turkey, so Emma will not be making "Turkey in the Toilet."kayrharris wrote:Yep, Alton Brown cooks his that way. Maybe you can find it by the brand name. Other stores may carry it as well.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:I bought a new coat last night before all of the excitement, but I can't find it on the Macy's web site.

It's their INC brand, so I don't think that any other store has it. I am still looking for it online.kayrharris wrote:Maybe you can find it by the brand name. We have some New Zealanders coming to our house for Thanksgiving. Emma thought that it would be funny to put a Turkey in the toilet downstairs and have them believe that American Turkeys are "cured" in the toilet before cooking.Second Chance wrote:PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:

I'm sure the National Honor Society will also have a spot for those with unusual imaginative humor capabilities...PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:We have some New Zealanders coming to our house for Thanksgiving. Jeff's little brother is also a doctor / professor, but he is more of a professor than a doctor. Anyway, he was in New Zealand doing some sort of foreign professor exchange and stayed at another professor's house for a month and teaching. The professor from New Zealand and his family are doing the same sort of thing in reverse during the month of November.kayrharris wrote:Emma has a wonderful sense of humor.
