Amazing Race Thread

Just goes to show - it is easy to be great when things are great. Real toughness is displayed when things are tough.

Starr's star certainly shone less brightly when things got tough.

How can a human being be that uncoordinated?!?

I didn't see the episode, but I started laughing when I read your post and thought to myself: she can say that after watching me 'mount' the Zorb???

Team Dandrew had its problems last night, didn't it? First they couldn't get the uniform on, then they decided to do the serving and found out that they had to don the uniforms anyway. I don't know which of the two it was, but he looked like a drunken sailor when he tried to do the marching. As for Starr, I imagine her frustration was fueled in part due to fatigue. But she and Nick did seem to have bad luck with cab drivers.

The Road Block was a tough physical challenge and again Team Dandrew had its difficulties, which just put them further behind. It was interesting the way that the camera shots were designed to keep everyone in suspense as to who came in first and who came in last. They do this all the time but it was much more noticeable this time around.

I wasn't surprised that this was a nonelimination leg - they generally have two and one is just before the final leg. Given Team Dandrew's difficulties, I don't think they'll be able to overcome the Speed Bump as well as the regular obstacles.

I would like to see Toni and Dallas win; as to who comes in second and third it doesn't matter whether it's Ken and Tina or Nick and Starr.

I can!

That is how uncoordinated Dan was.

Besides, you missed my three attempts to mount the darn thing when I went single. I am blaming the angle of the hole.

Take a picture of your golf swing, you will understand "uncoordinated" a little bit better.

I agree, it was funny watching him try to march.

On the "borscht" soup. That is not even close to looking like the borscht soup I make. Mine is with a whole lot of veggies and yes, beets are the main veggie. Just prior to serving you add a tad bit of heavy cream.

That march scene was great television I don't care who you are. It was absolutely hilarious especially when he got excited and looked like he was doing the robot.
Now I'm rooting for them to stay in just so we can see more classic moments like that.
BTW, is anyone else getting annoyed at the show for pretending the ending was close when we can all see that it was never going to be? Maybe I'm nitpicking but I feel like it takes away from those true close finishes...

I rewound my dvr thingie to see if I could see where the sun was when Starr and her brother came in, as it was easy to see where the sun was when Dandrew came in. They didn't do the same shot behind Phil so I could not really tell the difference in time.

It isn't annoying to me, I play a game to see if I can figure out who is gonna be first.

I often blame the angle of the hole, as well.

Speculation is rife (?) on the spoiler boards, that next week something happens that causes one team to not make it back to the end along with the others.

No one knows for sure who, but word is that one team loses their passports, and get stuck in Russia, as it takes over 2 days to get replacements.

They said that one team loses everything (money and passports) in Russia on the "next week on The Amazing Race" at the end of this week's episode.

I love having this dvr thingie - I get to see the episodes the morning after!
