All of the automaker stuff (especially with the CEOs refusing to give up their millions) got me to thinking.

You know who I always thought would make a good president? Lee Iacocca.

I have no idea of his political leanings or beliefs and didn't then. But anybody who can come up with the Mercury Cougar (yeah, and the Mustang....) and offer to bring back Chrysler from the brink for $1 a year (and then proceed to do it!) is all right with me.

I used to like those commercials he did, even though I can't even remember anything about them now.

Although I will admit that I returned a printer cartridge to Mecca once because my printer wouldn't work with XP. It was unused and still in the box, but I didn't have a receipt and I don't know how long I'd had it.

I don't know if it's still the case, but Sears used to replace (I'm not sure about returns) anything of their brand whenever, didn't matter how old it was or if you had the receipts. People used to find stuff in the trash or out by the curbs and take it into Sears for new. I know they still give lifetime replacement on Craftsman, but I'm not sure about their other stuff.

I hate the liberal Mecca return policy! I see people on line with baked goods, stuff that's totally trashed, not even in a box, or not from Mecca in the first place! One time a guy ahead of me had a bag of grapes in a King Sooper sack! We all end up paying for it in the long run.
