Brandon Jacobs' knee is OK, but he might sit out against Cardinals. Will this have a big effect on the game?

I don't wish for anyone to be injured, but do you think he could sit out the game against the Redskins week after next instead?

As much as I dislike the division-rival Giants, Jacobs is an amazing player to watch. The combination of speed, agility, and, especially, size, makes him perhaps the hardest-to-tackle player in football.

The Giants usually use three running backs a game anyway. Jacobs could be leading the league in rushing or close to it if he played an entire game but he usually only plays about half the game and the other two guys split the remaining half of the time. So the Giants will be much less affected if he sits out than would most other teams that lost their #1 running back.

I think that Brandon Jacobs at 6-4 and 260 is an integral part of the Giants running game and cannot be adequately replaced by a smaller running back. He plays mostly early downs to soften and tire the oppositions run defense.
