Adrian Wilson to play Sunday

#1 Post by macrae1234 » Tue Nov 18, 2008 4:27 pm

The NFL will not fine or suspend Wilson for a hit on Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck so he will play on Sunday against the New York Football Giants

Good to hear. We need Arizona's help this weekend... the Giants have got to drop one sooner or later. We've got to catch up to them.

It's getting irritating how people are thinking the Giants are unstoppable. Dude... they lost to Cleveland. They're a great team, of course, but they're not impossible to beat. We could very easily take them down in Week 16. That's why I'm so pumped for that game... it could even be an NFC Championship preview.

If you mean the Panthers as I said in SSS's post you will have a tough time staying ahead of Tampa and my Cardinals with your remaining schedule

Carolina at Atlanta, at Green Bay, Tampa, Denver, at Giants, at New Orleans
Tampa @ Detroit, New Orleans, At Carolina, at Atlanta, San Diego, Oakland
Arizona Giants, at Philadelphia (Thanksgiving night), St Louis, Minnesota, at New England, Seattle

Particularly if you play like you did the last 2 weeks

Giants fans should enjoy this run now - when was the last time that thew best NFL team at the start of November won the Super Bowl. Now doesn't matter - January does.

Somebody will catch lightning in a bottle as the Giants did last year.

It's tough, but I think we can handle it. Sunday's game will be very interesting, but I think we can survive. Green Bay and Denver are two decent teams that will give us a fairly good game, but again, we should be able to come out on top. The only two games that really worry me are Tampa Bay and the Giants. We'll have to play top-notch in those games. Either way, I think 12-4 and a first-round bye are two things we should be able to get.

I'm inclined to agree.
I'd fear Tampa and especially Arizona more than I'd fear the Panthers. Tampa plays great Run D and Arizona could really exploit the weak NY secondary.
But Carolina, no. I can't exactly fear Jake Delhomme and his 11:9 TD to Interception ratio to go along with that weak arm of his.

2006, year before last- Indianapolis Colts were 10-1 at this same point in time.
And in 2007 it was obviously the Patriots who went on to play in the Super Bowl.

So yeah I will enjoy this run...

At Philly, at New England - the Cardinals have proven to travel east so well.

Yeah - last year there was a QB that was 14:11 after 10 games and 17:17 after 13 games - a team with a QB like that doesn;t have a prayer.

Look it up.

I know but we played Washington 6-4, Jets 6-4 and Carolina 8-2 and we blew that one up 2 TDs
Philly is reeling and New England is not the New England of old

Notice the part where I said "to go along with that weak arm."
That would generally indicate that those things together mean that, yes, that QB's team wouldn't have a prayer.
And believe me, Delhomme doesn't have NY's defense behind him. I mean d'you honestly believe that a team that has given up an average of 107 yards a game will have a chance against the 172 yards per game Giants.
But you're right Carolina could easily take the Giants down in Week 16.
Of course there's a good chance they'll be playing against David Carr and the rest of the second team, but hey you gotta take what you can I guess....

It's stuff like this that we had to constantly hear during our run to the Super Bowl. So let the haters hate. We thrive when people are doubting us... it's actually when we're respected that we struggle (i.e. 2006).

Amen

Of course I love someone asserting the Panthers defense is weak..
