That is really helpful, thank you!!!

I knew Ann Taylor must be in trouble, their clothes have been sucking lately and they have half the inventory they used to have. At least the stores around my house. That makes me sad, it was one of my favorite stores.

You can joke all you want to, but I need that $10 more than he does. It's my fault.

I wonder...if you set up a web site like his to take donations, do you actually have to do anything? Or can you just let the donations roll in?

Thanks for the tip on Eddie Bauer. They are one of the few stores that I can walk into and buy pants. That 36" inseam is hard to find especially with a relatively normal waist-size.

I may go stock up there in the near future.

It is in good bit the fault of the 2005 Bankruptcy Act (which Obama to his credit voted against, as did Hillary), which made Chapter 11 reorganization tougher for retailers in particular. More cash-strapped retailers are unable now to come up with a successful plan and wind up being liquidated instead. Look for this to happen to Circuit City.

We have both Ann Taylor and Talbots which are relatively new
to our mall. I don't think they do all that much business so I'm wondering if
they'll be gone soon.

Talbots was way overpriced in my opinion.

Might be because we're a college town, but ours seems to cater to
the "younger" generation.

I just got a special code to get 30% off at Gap.com.

I thought, great, I can buy more jeans.

Gap's "Classic Boot Cut Jeans" fit me perfectly. (The Regular Boot Cut jeans require a bikini wax to wear.) Anyway, I checked on the site and they no longer carry my size in any of the three colors in the regular length. I suspect that they aren't going to sell them any more because the teens and twenty somethings prefer really low rise jeans.

I hate it when something I like is discontinued. I just got a killer pair of
jeans from Coldwater Creek (I was shocked!). They fit perfectly and I didn't have to have
them cut off. I think they were $79, which is not outrageous and I did have a discount
coupon with that order.

Maybe it's just your size. I can't buy from a "normal" size store anymore.

We have some of those stores in our mall, which is owned by General Growth Properties. The company is rumored to be selling some of their malls because they are going bankrupt.

We have: Gap and Gap Kids, Eddie Bauer, Ann Taylor, Wilsons, Pacific Sunwear, and Foot Locker.

The Talbots' store in Kalamazoo just expanded. My mom LOVES to shop there-every time she goes in, she comes out with a bag. If it closes, she won't like that!
