I just found your bored and am wondering if a second, taped interview ensures getting in the HotSeat.

It improves your chances of a happy post card, but NOTHING ensures getting in the hot seat.

Do you know why second interviews are taped?

I answered this in the other post, but will repost my answer here. Maybe a moderator type can delete the duplicate post?
I'm sure others will chime in, but I don't think there is anything that "ensures" getting in the Hot Seat. More likely, maybe. That's up for debate as well though.

The taping of this season is over.
So what is the Bored opinion of the carryover from this years taping to next?

Do you know if many people have been selected as contestants in the season after they auditioned?

There have been some, but I wouldn't say many. TPTB don't reveal a lot of the important details we want to know, such as how many people might be in the pool at any particular time or how they really cast contestants from the pool. My opinion, based on our limited data and what we see on the show, is that you need one of the producers to remember you favorably, so that that producer is lobbying for your selection. That probably gives a huge advantage to the people they've seen recently (for next season's shows, that means the folks who interview next spring and summer) over those who might be left over from the previous seasons.
And I know how it feels to be left abandoned in the pool, until they decide to flush it.
