Taped interview

#1 Post by KEBmom » Fri Nov 14, 2008 10:57 am

I just found your bored and am wondering if a second, taped interview ensures getting in the HotSeat.

I'm sure others will chime in, but I don't think there is anything that "ensures" getting in the Hot Seat. More likely, maybe. That's up for debate as well though.

Anecdotal evidence suggests Sunflower is right - no guarantees, but a second, taped interview appears to be better than not getting one. Welcome to the bored. We can be kinda scary, but there is excellent information to be found. GOod luck!

Stick around. It is a fun place.

Sometimes we even talk about Millionaire.

:P

There is someone who keeps a list, they will want to know when you auditioned.

If you want to share.

It was a good sign for me, but no, it doesn't guarantee it. Good luck!

I know from experience that no, unfortunately a second taped interview does not ensure getting into the hot seat, we didn't even get into the pool.

The videotaped interview is no guarantee, but our evidence strongly suggests that not getting it is an immediate sign of failure, despite occasional statements from the producers that "it doesn't mean anything".

Without the taped interview you're dead meat. I recall we had one person who had a taped interview who got the sad postcard though.

When did you audition? You haven't gotten a card of any sort, right?

Yes, a week ago today was the last taping.

That must be the post that vaporized into the black cyberhole.

I dont sees it.

Therefore, you must be cellophane. (the law of transitivity)

When did you audition? I'd like to update the Audition List. --Bob

Did you audition recently? In addition to maintaining the Bored's audition list, I also auditioned myself in the afternoon of this season's penultimate tape date. --Bob

Bob,
I interviewed this summer, had a second taped interview and received a postcard saying I was in the contestant pool.

I don't remember the date. How did your audition interview go? Were the APs still doing taped interviews that late in the season?

I didn't see evidence that they were doing so, but that doesn't mean it wasn't happening. I will be surprised if I get a happy card. --Bob

Bob,
Hope you do get a happy card. Has anyone gotten a happy card or in the HotSeat this season without having a second interview?

No. If you get a taped interview, it's likely that you will get a postcard indicating that you are in the contestant pool, but there is no guarantee that you will be invited to be on the show.
