Picketer Update

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:09 am

Yes, they've still been here this week, though it is getting beyond comical. It has been cool to cold most of the week, so they've been setting up the sign all week and juts sitting in their cars, getting relieved by a new guy about every couple hours so they don't run out of gas I guess. This is of course, when they aren't using the side of the vacant house next to mine as their own presonal Port O Potty.....

Today, it has been raining since the middle of the night, and at any point a cold front is gonna come through and make it cold enough to where it will be snowing while I'm at work. So guess where they are..... not here! Even though the plant still has the gate wide open. It warms my heart to see men willing to make such a sacrifice for the principles they believe in......

And I'm sure they've been just so successful in shutting the plant down to get their grievances addressed...

But one of the few things you can actually read on their sign full of fine print is that they have no issues with any other employer but whoever the interloper is.... and I'd assume that includes the plant that hired them in the first place! :?

They couldn't have picked a more WGAS place to voice their anger than in the middle of my little travelled street....

You're a witness to the fart in the whirlwind, I guess! Lucky you...

While I understand the sentiment of the phrase, the concept of witnessing a fart, as opposed to hearing or smelling it, reduced me to giggles.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I can just imagine scientists using some kind of funky technology to view the dynamics of a fart in their laboratory. I'll bet the images would be cool.....

I have the same opinion of picketers as I do Girl Scout/Boy Scouts, bell ringers, flower sellers on the corner, etc. (The red kettlers were out in front of Mecca the day BEFORE Halloween this year, btw).

The interest and/or sympathy I show for your cause is directly related to the amount of effort you're willing to put into it.
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!

In grad school, one of the other labs was working on separating out components of marijuana, specifically the THC. We all wanted to get in line at the outlet end of the system and inhale deeply.

PS: The quantities involved were in the micro- to nanogram range. You'd have had to be extremely sensitive to get a buzz.

DId you have a control group? Because I'm sure some people got totally baked just from the power of suggestion.

The best one I remember is a guy who was singing. Lovely voice with great carols. I have him more than I would have done others.

Just catching up from yesterday. This thread certainly took an interesting
turn. It never ceases to amaze me what the last post is in a thread
no matter what the subject might be. :)

Yeah, sometimes the last post is a jumbled, gratuitous, purple mess.....
