I'm so far behind!

So, did Obama end up getting a Bichon? I just saw this photo

Quite some time ago, an online Bichon group, of which I'm a member, had huge amounts of conversation about what type of dog the Obama family should get if he were to become President. I think I mentioned the conversation here too. There were many in the group who didn't want him to get a Bichon because it would end up overpopulating the breed. (sigh  ) I personally thought that if their family was happy with the dog, they should get whatever type they wanted. Hopefully nothing negative will come of whatever breed or mix the family picks.

We were looking to get a mix-type doggie.

Are those hypo-allergenic or whatever? I heard one of the kids is allergic, but I'm not up on which dogs are okay with allergies and which aren't.

They were playing "name the Obama's dog" on the radio this morning, it was so ridiculous.

Yes, the Bichon Frise breed is lumped into that non-shedding, hypo category.

What were some of the names they were coming up with on the radio?

-Sarah (as in Palin)

-Oprah

-Riley - which is a fine name but the lady was rambling something like "Riley, as in life of Riley because that's what this dog is going to have...actually so does my dog, I wish I could be reincarnated as my dog, so yeah...Riley or life of Riley, whichever one you like better"

-Renegade

-Maverick

-Hope

-Change

I was just thinking, hey...be original people!! Just pick a dog name for the dog...who is going to name their dog change??? (sorry to anyone out there who may have a dog named change)

I'm thinking those girls are going to name that dog, so it will probably be named after Miley Cyrus or the Cheetah Girls or something like that.

So true. My niece has a cat named Bella Wings Barbie. He's a boy. My current avatar is my new pup, whom I have named Suki-Annie, but afore-mentioned niece insists on calling Arielle Belle.
