About the recent chat weirdness.

We'll see if he can come up with any solutions to keep it from happening again....

Dave tried to show me how to boot someone, but it only seems to work for him....

Maybe Dave's taking his birthday off.

I seem to recall something about him being in Illinois and Indiana this week, though.

I asked him what he did wrong, to deserve such a punishment....

Our gang of 11 had whittled down to 5 when the dumbass showed up a little after midnight. I think it was me, Sprots, clem, Meisha, and Second Chance there at the time. He was worse than the Armernian guy... he came with the threats right away and then somehow spammed the room to make it unusable....

Using a chat client that anyone can enter is a problem.

Right now, I'm more concerned with the molasses that keeps getting poured into the Bored's web server.

Crap. I missed all the fun.

It is almost impossible for me to stay up past 11pm.

The site I set-up last year still is running with its chat feature. Maybe you all might want to use it instead? You won't have anyone else finding it and crashing the party.

I would but I just checked and it's broken! It displays the chat box but there's no way to type anything in! I sent an email reporting that.

Dave has responded.

He won't get home from his vacation until Sunday, so he can't do anything until then. He said the only real solution is to find a chat program he can host on his own server. He has found one he wants to try, but until then, we need to hope the PC's stay away.....

I guess he showed up right after I left. You don't suppose he was spreading a virus?


As I complained last night, I went into work at 8;30 this morning. When I got home this afternoon and turned on my laptop, it has a screen Ii've never seen before & does nothing!

Other than having the battery duct taped in, it was working perfectly fine when I shut it down last night. I do have an anti virus program.

Oh well, my new laptop should be arriving any day now.

I highly doubt it Kay.

A virus would have to be introduced to your hard drive and/or system somehow and unless my understanding of chat mechanics is much mistaken I don't think that's possible...
