That's what my carpooling companion (woman, late 40s) said as a new tune came up on the radio.

It was the the theme from Shaft.

Maybe it's me but I never thought of that as a song, per se, but as a record. I have never caught myself whistling it. And I have never thought of it as something someone would actually like- if "like" is the same word you'd use to describe a record by James Taylor, or Barry Manilow. It's fun to listen to, to be sure, but "like?"

Or, maybe I'm just getting old.
